Graham Joseph Duguay Fowler

in the tenth hour, of the ninth day, of the eighth month, in the seventh year...

by emergency c-section (which was less dramatic than it sounds) three weeks early.

mum is fine. baby is great. dad... needs a drink.

bit in a hurry to get to a car seat clinic then back to hospital (monique will probably be in til monday), i'll post more when we've had a chance to breathe.

(well... really it was the twenty-second hour, but it sounds cooler that way...)

    Dear Tom,

Congrad's on you and the misses. Though it is just a bit on the scary side that you are passing on you genetics, which possilby will lead to future disturbed generations of Fowlers.

Tom- I have had two emergency C-sections-they are always dramatic! You're fun is only beginning. It will be the best thing you have ever done.
I'm very happy for you both.

  15. thanks everyone.

chip: i don't know the next we'll be in toronto, so unless you're coming to our neck of the woods, i'd say you'll be holding him in a year... but given the fowler genes by that point he'll be about 5'6" and at lest 145 lbs. so start lifting those weights.

josh: we've noticed a certain monkeyesqueness. we're checking for blue fur on a daily basis.

weldon: this face planet has indeed been blessed by an impressive lady.

nancy: nice to hear from you. of course it's dramatic. i just didn't want anyone to worry that it was anything other than a very controlled, reasoned event. we knew from about noon that it would likely be a c-section, but all the doctors and nurses handled it in such a good, calm, helpful way that it never became panicked. which is all i'd meant to say.

we got a nifty little monkey, and we couldn't be happier...

although we could be better rested...
