GORGEASS!...

Totally...looks just like how I remembered it before they nailed me for drinking and splitting fish.

BTW...what's your materials list for this here watercolor stuff?

i've got a tin of daler-rowney watercolours (24 cakes), it's the same one i take to shows, whenever one of the cakes run out i just squeeze in a tube and let it sit overnight. pretty much every colour job i've done in the last five years (so virtually everything on this site) or so has been done with that set. there might be a teensy bit of gouache too.

as for brushes i think i mostly used a #4 (3?) w/n, raphael, rosemary i'm not sure which.

paper, probably two-ply strath vellum finish; same stuff i do all the monroe stuff on.

Thanks...just as I figured.
Simple and straightforward.

I'm probably going to switch to Holbein watercolors here once my pans evaporate. Been using W&N and I'm not overly dissappointed with them. I prefer my field Cotman watercolors though for some reason.

Anyway...I'll be hopefully jumping into some watercolor soon. :)

Keep me inspired, man.

P.S. Children love the whiskey...you can probably get in 3hours of painting in between shots. uh...that's what I hear anyway.

if you can find them, i'd give the daler-rowney stuff a try. i actually prefer it to w/n (it's creamier).

i'd chuck the cotman stuff. at least for anything you want to last. cotman's just w/n's student grade. they're cheap, but they're cheap.

of course he loves whiskey.

he's mine.

My mistake...they are a W&N field box. I think I said Cotman because those are the only refills I could find. SO I bought a bunch of extra pans and filled them w/ tube watercolors.

It's a good set.

But yeah. I'll check out the Daler-Rowney.

Thnx.
